It is a true honour to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of the First Peoplesā Cultural Foundation (FPCF). As a W̱SĆNEÄ and Tlingit person, stepping into this role reflects my commitment to uplifting B.C. First Nations voices in advancing their languages, arts and cultural heritage practices for future generations.
With a Master of Business Administration in Indigenous Business and Leadership from Simon Fraser University and further studies in Indigenous Health and Community Administration at UBC, I bring both academic depth and lived experience. My leadership is guided by cultural agility, accountability, and reciprocal relationships. I hope to use these values to uplift the work we do at FPCF in strengthening community health and wellness, and the intergenerational transfer of knowledge.
I am deeply passionate about creating sustainable pathways for our donors to contribute in a way that honours community priorities. Together, we can uplift B.C. First Nations languages, arts, and cultures to flourish for generations to come. We greatly appreciate your commitment to creating tangible acts of reconciliation through your contributions, and I look forward to our year ahead with First Peoplesā Cultural Foundation.
Thank you,
Magie-Mae
